So just what is Kairos and who is the man behind the curtain? First, the man behind the curtain since understanding his journey can shed insight into just what to expect from Kairos.
I would best describe myself as a “serial learner.” My early background as a journalist and public relations professional required the ability to learn about multiple issues and later multiple businesses quickly and thoroughly, and then translate that learning in ways that different audiences could understand and respond to positively.
It remains the core skill set for any great communicator – listening, learning, asking the right questions, understanding different viewpoints, weighing their impact, and ultimately making smart decisions.
And it set me up for success over the past 25 years where I have been a marketing executive in the fast-paced, dynamic financial software industry. Building a communications function from the ground up, working closely with the CEO and as part of the executive team, and helping lead the company as it experienced 20-fold growth.
Fast forward to today and my latest endeavor is Kairos, a boutique advisory firm that strives for communications excellence by listening, learning, challenging, and helping my clients to connect the dots between your business aspirations and your customer’s needs.
